Integrate a cutting board or a table into your Reef storage system!
Includes the bamboo board, new drawer front with precise cutout (choose full face or with a cutout for Clamshell, sold separately), and back stop.
You will need to source and apply your favorite treatment.
- If you plan to use it as a cutting board I recommend decent butcher block mineral oil, but any food grade oil can work fine.
- If you intend to use it as a table you may want to polyurethane it for toughness
- As always with the Reef system it's up to you to customize!
The original Sandbar was 17" x 30" x 3/4", but because of supply shortages and massive price increases I redesigned the board shorter. I'll keep the original for sale for existing owners that reeeally want a second matching piece (items in stock are remnant from the last production run and make become even more expensive on the next run), but I hope folks go with the shorter version as it really is all you need for 99% of camping duties.
As of March 2022 the recommended Sandbar is 17 x 23 x 3/4" and comes only in the dark/caramelized color, aka River. If I can secure better pricing on the materials (working on it) then I'll bring prices down what I can - next to just having a drawer the Sandbar is my favorite part of the entire Reef ecosystem and I think everyone should have one.
